James is the founder and Chairman of JGP Architecture. He established the firm in 1985 formerly known as James Goh & Associates.

James’ career spans four decades as a designer, architect and entrepreneur. Since establishing the firm, he has championed ambitious projects including regional masterplanning commissions. In recognition of the firm’s prolific work and contributions around the region, James was conferred recognition as a registered architect with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

Among his circle of peers and clients, James is known for his acute business acumen and critical insights into the construction industry. Coupled with a keen sense of aesthetics and versatility as a designer, these have earned him success in growing JGP to become one of the region’s widely respected architectural practices.

James is a registered architect with the Board of Architects Singapore, and a fellow member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.

In the time spent outside of work, James is seen training a younger generation of architects and project managers. He is always on the lookout for talented individuals to help take JGP to greater heights. In his leisure time, James enjoys fine dining, traveling, leisure sports and playing music.

Seow Hui first joined JGP in 1993, and today oversees the Singapore office in project execution and administrative matters. Over the course of his architectural career, Seow Hui has designed many projects including residential, institutional, recreation and healthcare developments.

Among his peers and colleagues, Seow Hui is known for his relentless pursuit in producing designs that combine a strong sense of aesthetic, innovative ideas, and functionality. He believes in outcomes that can be unique, while at the same time achieve intended economic goals. He also believes in collaborative design where clients and consultants come onboard early on in the design and decision-making stages, so that work is inclusive and enriching.

Seow Hui is a registered architect with the Board of Architects Singapore, a registered inspector with the Singapore Civil Defence Force, and is a corporate member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. Seow Hui holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.

In his spare time, Seow Hui enjoys reading, writing and recreational sports.

Leng Leng’s expertise lies in handling overseas projects. Having acquired an in-depth knowledge of local by-laws and regulations, she is familiar with the workings of systems and administrative matters, and thus able to coordinate with local authorities and teams to see through the completion of projects. Leng Leng’s ardent passion for culture have also gained her a wide network and insights into regional dynamics.

In undertaking design work, Leng Leng believes in a multi-disciplinary, research-based approach. She is also passionate about collaborative design, bringing onboard clients and consultants early on in the design phase.

Leng Leng is a registered architect with the Board of Architects Singapore, and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Singapore.

When not sketching with her leather-cladded clutch pencil, Leng Leng enjoys traveling, recreational sports, and spending time with family, friends and colleagues over a hearty meal.

Peter first joined JGP in 1990, and today oversees the firm’s projects in Singapore and Malaysia. Peter runs a studio in the firm, and plays a pivotal role in providing staff training and managing IT-related matters.

Peter’s expertise lies in detailed design and construction documentation. Over the course of his architectural career, he has worked on an extensive range of developments including conventional housing, low- to high-rise residences for both private and public sectors, as well as institutional and religious buildings.

Peter is a registered architect in Singapore and Malaysia, and a corporate member of the Singapore Institute of Architects. He holds a diploma in architecture and urban design from Oxford Polytechnic, UK.

When not reviewing drawings or training staff, Peter enjoys spending time with his family and serving in church.

Poy first joined JGP in 2002, and today runs a studio comprising a team of designers, project managers and technicians.

Over the course of his architectural career, Poy has worked on projects ranging from residential and commercial, to industrial and healthcare. Introspecting on this work, Poy gains with each completed project, a sense of achievement, when ideas successfully materialize into built form, adapted in many forms of appropriations.

As a principal architect, Poy dedicates his time in-between to train his lesser-experienced team members offering guidance and advice. He believes that passion and perseverance are two important traits in building a career and achieving success, in the face of challenges and demands the profession brings. He lives by his motto to remain driven in his work and hopes to instil the same in his team members, ‘Loving what we do and doing it continually’.

Tracy first joined JGP in 1990, and today leads a team of project managers working on a mix of developments. Tracy is also a staff trainer, and has helped JGP attain ISO and OHSAS certifications.

Tracy started her career as a junior technician. Her tenacity led her to learn the ropes quickly and gave her career growth opportunities. In 2003, Tracy took up a post in the firm’s Shanghai office for two years learning project coordination, and by 2006, she was a full-fledged project manager. To date, Tracy has had worked on an extensive range of projects including private residential developments, military camps, the Singapore embassy, commercial and public housing developments.

During the course of his career, Marcus & his team have worked on wide spectrum of project. It ranges from Public projects which includes HDB BTO & HIP projects, MOH Nursing Homes to Private Residential, Commercial & Institutional projects.

Marcus believe in fusing the requirements of the Developers to the needs of the End Users to create the Ideal project, yet ensuring the building system (including both M&E and Structure) are kept simple and easy to use & maintain and fundamentally sustainable as a quality project.

In JGP, Marcus is also tasked to oversee the operations of both JGP Architecture(S) Pte Ltd & JGP Group Consultants to ensure top quality works are delivered to the Developers timely.
As Construction is constantly evolving, Marcus, relentlessly, seek to enhance his Architectural Education. In 2018, he was awarded the Bronze Award for Outstanding Performance in the Specialist Diploma in Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DfMA) and in 2019, he successfully completed the Design for Safety Professionals (DfSP) Course.

Jann Kae first joined JGP in 2004, and today oversees a team of designers, project managers and technicians working on a range of projects.

In approaching design, Jann Kae believes in rigorous research, imperative to understanding spatial requirements and use so they best serve the needs of the users. In training his staff, he emphasizes on due diligence, such as the reading of drawings as an interdependent set likened to a collage as opposed to reading them autonomously, and he instils in team members an aphorism where positive thinking and attitude indeed determine one’s altitude.

Jann Kae graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tasmania. When not designing, Jann Kae likes to retreat to familiar places and landscapes, where he hopes to gather newfound inspiration and ideas, and reignite his passion for architecture. His favourite place to hang out at is Bedok.

Over her working experience, Charlize has been involved in a wide range of projects. Currently, she leads the studio on projects ranging from public, residential, commercial to hospitality. Charlize likes to learn from the completed projects as good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement.

While having passionate about design and architecture, Charlize believes a keen sense of aesthetics that marries form, function and buildability is one of the critical factor to deliver a good architecture. In her career path, Charlize emphasized on practicing as practice makes perfect.

Charlize is a registered architect in Singapore and Malaysia, and a corporate member of the Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM). She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Universiti of Putra Malaysia and Master of Science (Project Management) from the National University of Singapore.
